In 1999, Some Like It Black opened its doors in South Loop Chicago. It welcomed artists of all facets to come and express themselves to a diverse group of devotees. People from all across the city came to enjoy live entertainment from a variety of local and famous poets and jazz musicians. The vibe of SLIB was something new and refreshing for that community.

Now 17 years later, Some Like It Black decided to come back to the Kenwood/Oakland community with a new style, the creative arts bar. The intimate space and homelike vibe will still remain for artists to express their individuality. Our newly added cafe will be contributing 100{dd448ae6822321f949ac9d3c8c1fad9167e6ac6209ed4665cd8f13605c52b688} organic, non GMO food and drinks. Expect to see vegan and carnivorous options along with a full smoothie bar offered at an affordable price.
